Welcome to itSMF International

The IT Service Management Forum

The itSMF is the only truly independent and internationally recognised forum for IT Service Management professionals worldwide.

This not-for-profit organisation is a prominent player in the on-going development and promotion of IT Service Management 'best practice' standards and qualifications and has been since 1991, when the UK Chapter commenced as the foundation Chapter.

New Board elected for itSMF International for the 2019/20 year.

itSMF International has a new Board and new vision for the 2019/20 Financial year.

First, our 2020 Vision – clarity of purpose.

Why we exist.

  • To create and sustain the global itSMF Member Community
  • To promote Service Management practices.
  • To raise the awareness of Service Management and how Service Management professionals benefit our global communities

Next, changes to our board and roles:

Phyllis Drucker has been elected as Chair taking on the role from Michael Imhoff.

Tom Fossett has been elected as Vice Chair and Clive Keylard has been elected as Treasurer.

There have been 4  portfolios allocated to support the 4 key strategic initiatives that the itSMF International Board will focus their attention on this year , being

1. Membership and Chapter Relations

Tom Fossett will maintain the lead for this portfolio assisted by Clive Keylard, Harry Powell and Ulf Myrberg.

Chapter Leadership is encouraged to reach out to any of these Board Members for assistance or advice at any time.

They are keen to have dialogue with the Chapter Boards around the globe to develop a closer relationship and better understanding of chapter needs and challenges.

2. Strategic Alliances

Phyllis Drucker and Michael Imhoff will take the lead for this portfolio and will be assisted by Tom Fossett and Ulf Myrberg.

MoU’s have been entered with many of the other associations and platforms around the globe and more are in progress.

This work will be critical to itSMF retaining its role as a leading voice for the promotion and advocacy of Service Management and its global community.

3. Revenue Streams

Phyllis Drucker as Chair will lead this portfolio along with other Board members on an as needs basis. This is seen as a critical success factor in growing and developing the Forums influence within its community. Members of the global forum will be invited to assist in sub committees to identify and develop opportunities into income streams to benefit our chapters as well as help support International initiatives, helping to sustain our global community into the digital age and beyond.

4. Communications and Marketing

Michel Imhoff will lead this portfolio’s activities and will be assisted by Tom Fossett, Ulf Myrberg and our Company Secretary Bruce Harvey and his secretariat team. Marketing itSMF will benefit all Chapters so we ask that all passionate and involved members of Chapters and the International Community help this team to raise the profile and awareness of what itSM is and what we as itSM professionals do for our wider communities.

Michael and his team will welcome any enquiry from anyone who would like to assist in the work of this portfolio and of any information of interest to our community for publication on  our website and social media platforms and for our Newsletter.

Exciting times are ahead for itSMF International and its Chapters. Become involved through your local chapter or by volunteering as a member of a sub-committee and help us achieve the 2020 vision.

Best regards

Phyliss Drucker
