itSMF UK Conference 2012 Call for Presentations

3rd Annual Conference of itSMF Russia will take place on September 12 and 13, 2012 in Moscow at International information and exhibition center "InfoSpace".

The ITIL Foundation Handbook has now been revised by the UK Chapter to bring it into line with ITIL 2011 Edition. Published by TSO and endorsed by the official ITIL Accreditor, the pocket guide is a quick-reference revision guide designed to help students prepare for their Foundation exam. It is also a key reference aid for managers, practitioners, vendors and consultants in the workplace and while travelling.

The Annual General Meeting of itSMF Slovakia was held on February 2nd 2012 in Bratislava. Several important topics were on the agenda: the Chairmanship; an annual report concerning itSMF activities during the previous year; proposed targets and planned activities for the oncoming period; suggested budget; and election of new management.

The members of itSMF Slovensko said they appreciated the achievements and performance of the Slovak chapter over the last year, driven by its management.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is your Captain speaking. If there are any inspirational speakers among the passengers, please contact the staff. We have a situation that requires your expertise on October 4th-5th 2012.

itSMFnz would love to hear from anyone who is keen to share their experience with others through presenting at this year's conference. The conference will be 12 - 14 June 2012 in Wellington, New Zealand.

The call for speakers is open until 28th February; don't miss out! Please also let your colleagues and customers know and encourage them to consider being involved!

Following the AGM and Chapter meeting in Washington in 2011 and a handover meeting last week the International Executive Board (IEB) has now appointed Marianna Billington as their chair for the coming year.

Marianna spent the last year as the IEB's vice-chair and has also held the publications portfolio for the last 2 years.

Prague (December 2011) - At the 6th ItSMF Annual Conference of the Czech Republic, subtitled "How to draw business into IT management," which took place on 9 November 2011 in Prague, the winners of the first year of competition for the best project in the field of IT Service Management were announced. The project of Devoteam titled "Weezy - Sharing know-how and information" focused on management of knowledge (Knowledge Management) won first place.

The 2012 itSMF Swedish Conference is taking place on March 20th and 21st in Stockholm with the theme "The Sixth Sense - A step into the future". The conference focuses on future requirements and opportunities for IT Service Management with a global focus and several international speakers.
