The itSMF International is exited to announce plans for the first itSMF Chapter Leadership Conference (CLC) in November 2008.
True to the spirit of the itSMF to share knowledge, experience and leadership, the itSMFI is committed to providing a forum for Chapters to grow, prosper and learn from each other. A successful Chapter anywhere benefits us all.
The continued growth of emerging and new Chapters, offers us the opportunity to share the benefits of experience from existing Chapters who have created “itSMF Chapter best practices” in Chapter management.
New publications for the ITSM Library – in English, German, Italian, Japanese.
itSMF International has introduced a number of new publications into the ITSM ibrary.

OGC have commissioned a number of white papers which are aimed at supporting the ongoing development, effectiveness, and practical application of ITIL. The Alignment White Paper series illustrates how the ITIL portfolio aligns with other standards.
The latest one in the series is about the alignment between ISO/IEC 20000 and ITIL V3 which has been written by Dr Jenny Dugmore and Sharon Taylor.

itSMF Spain and the Carlos III University of Madrid Computer Science Department are organising a conference on IT Service Management, which will be held in the CarlosIII University (www.uc3m.es)
APM Group and EXIN sign agreement about Japanese translations ITIL® version 3
V3 Japanese Pilot Examination starts in April 2008
On February 15 2008 EXIN, the worldwide Examination Institute for Information Science, and APM Group (APMG) signed an agreement stating EXIN will be translating examinations and sample examinations for ITIL® version 3 into the Japanese language. Initially EXIN Japan will start with the development of translations for the ITIL® Foundation examination, followed by translated examinations for the ITIL® Foundation Bridge examination, the Managers Bridge examination and later on the Capability examination. As a result of this agreement training providers are able to offer courses in Japanese and candidates can attend examinations for ITIL® version 3 in their own language.

itSMF Norway 2008 Conference Report
Everybody Needs Somebody – Successful [Conference] Theme in Norway
The excellent choice of the conference theme and the reputation of one of the best conferences in Europe resulted in more than 400 delegates participating in the 6th annual itSMF conference in Norway, March 4-5, 2008. The conference was focusing on the importance of cooperation, sharing the knowledge, and doing successful projects in teams. “Everybody needs somebody” referring to the fact that it is very difficult to be successful all alone – and of course, this year’s theme also was inspired of the Blues Brothers.
