IT Service Management Forum CR officially declared the winner of a competition for the ITSM Project of the Year

Prague (February 2016) – During the 10th Annual Conference of itSMF Czech Republic, titled "Simple or complex IT", which was held on the 21st and 22nd of January 2016 in Prague, the winners of the fifth competition for the best project in the field of IT Service Management were announced. The winner was the project implemented in Allianz SpA in cooperation with LBMS s.r.o titled "Automating key IT processes at Allianz in 10 months" focusing on optimizing IT management processes. Second place went to the project "UMO - Unified Monitoring" supplied by sIT Solutions for the Česká spořitelna  a.s. (Czech Savings Bank), and third place was award to the project for Dopravní podnik města Brna, a.s.(Brno City Transport Company) under the title "An integrated system of traffic management and security in enterprise IT", available from the Service & Support spol. s r.o.

ItSMF Czech Republic has organized the "ITSM Project of the Year" competition for the last five years. The contest again offered comparison of the most interesting projects in the area of IT service management (Information Technology Service Management).

For the winning project "Automation of key IT processes at Allianz in 10 months" the jury were especially appreciative of the scope and coverage of processes. The change resulted in an increase in the volume and speed of claims processing. The project was also impressive for its way of planning and reporting the work of staff operations and development.

The project in second place, "UMO - Unified Monitoring" was particularly interesting for the jury thanks to the significantly improved prevention of failures and for shortening their identification and treatment times. The higher customer’s awareness about the status of services had a great impact on the satisfaction of customers, increase of business and user departments.

The third project "Integrated system of traffic management and security in ICT enterprise” was appreciated by the jury thanks to the significant increase of corporate ICT operational efficiency at a very low budget. The complex implementation process, including the related reorganization and that the unification of the IT department was completed as well.

“We were pleased by the participation of important Czech and international companies in this year competition. By supporting visualization of exciting projects we want to help develop public awareness of successful projects in the field of IT management and collaboration with the business, in the Czech Republic”, said Roman Albrecht, chairman of itSMF Czech Republic on behalf of the board and he also added: "I would also like to thank the jury, which was appointed from our informatics prominent personalities from the academic and commercial sectors - Ivette Korandová, Zdenek Brabec, Vladimír Kufner, Vlastimil Rab and Jaroslav Rokyta, for the work they have done in the evaluation of projects.”
