The itSMF-UK has transferred the itSMF ISO20000 scheme to APMG. This move will strengthen the excellent scheme globally, building on the itSMF UK's success in building and supporting this valuable Service Management standard.

priSM® (Professional Recognition for IT Service Management) was discussed at the itSMF Chapter Conference in Kuala Lumpur today (16th October 2010).

The programme is doing well with its pilot in the US. Plans for the roll-out to the Nordic Countries, Australia and the UK are well advanced. Once these international roll-outs have been successful, the lessons learned will be applied to the general roll-out, due to start in the second quarter 2011.

The working Group WG06 - tool and processes in organization itSMF Slovensko organizes the international Work shop day / WSD2010 "Orchestration and automation ITIL/ITSM processes.

Several presentations and interesting lectures are planned. The gold speaker of planned event is Vernon Lloyd with his lecture, one of the fathers of philosophy of ITIL and author of numerous books dealing with the topic of ITIL.

This event will take place on 14.10.2010 in otel Matyšák in Bratislava, SLOVAKIA.

The itSMF 2010 global survey results have been collated. These have been sent to all those who contributed and to all itSMF chapters.

The results are generally encouraging, showing that, despite the current climate, Service Management is delivering effective results.

Market data gathered during the fourth quarter of 2009 indicated an interest and demand by enterprises for a process assessment approach focused on an enterprise's use of information and related technology. To build this approach the task force selected ISO/IEC standard 15504. The Process Capability Assessment is based on a two dimensional model, containing a process dimension and a capability dimension.

Peter Cross, Director of Chapter Governance, who was elected at the itSMF 2009 elections, has announced his decision to step down from itSMF governing body, the International Executive Board (IEB). After consultation with the IEB Chairman, David Cannon, in June, 2010, his decision has been accepted.

The 2011 itSMF Norway Conference will take place on March 22-23 2011 at the Clarion Hotel Oslo Airport.
