itSMF International Translations Update

We would like to inform the itSMF Chapters of an important change to the translation process that affects many of you.

For the last two years Mark Lillycrop has managed the translation project for itSMF International, and has been your single point of contact (SPOC) for all publications business. It wasn't an easy job and was complicated by restrictions in the contracts that were in place at the time. We would like to thank Mark for his excellent work on the project.

ICT Infrastructure Management Qualification awarded Complementary Status in the ITIL V3 Qualification Scheme

The APM Group, which is responsible for the ITIL Examination Scheme, has announced that the Information Communications Technology Infrastructure Management (ICTIM) qualification has been granted 'Complementary Qualification' Status within the ITIL V3 qualification scheme.

BCS-ISEB is delighted that this is the first qualification to be granted this status so that candidates who wish to take or who have already taken the ICTIM qualification will therefore gain 3.5 credits for this qualification within the V3 Scheme which can contribute towards their ITIL V3 Expert certification.

itSMF USA Lends a Hand to Unemployed IT Professionals

itSMF USA announced today that it has joined forces with the creator of the Headway Program, Jeanette Smith from one-3-right, part of the SED-IT Consortium to help unemployed IT professionals who are anxious to increase their marketability by earning an industry-recognized certification in IT Service Management or Project Management.

itSMF International engages a new Chief Editor

A new era in ITSMF International's publication strategy begins today with the appointment of Mrs Kirstie Magowan as its new Chief Editor.

CSME Gains ITIL Examination Institute Status

Press Release: The APM Group, which is responsible for the ITIL Accreditation and Qualification scheme, has announced that CSME has become an accredited Examination Institute (EI).

CSME has been providing ITIL Certification Services to the US for the past seven years. It sought accreditation as an ITIL EI from The APM Group after careful consideration on how best to service the US market.
