Overview of complementary qualifications

A number of complementary qualifications are now available and the number is increasing. All of these are given credits in the ITIL® V3 qualification scheme. The sum of credits a candidate can use from these qualifications towards ITIL Expert Level is limited to 6.

itSMF International (or to be more specific the Qualification & Certification Executive Sub Committee Qualification Working Group, IQC QWG) is evaluating these qualifications and recommending whether or not they should be included in the complementary qualifications scheme and in case they are included the number of credits they should earn successful candidates. The QWG consists of representatives from several itSMF chapters.
