New International Executive Board (IEB) Board announces Portfolio holders for 2011

Following a handover meeting between the outgoing board members from 2010 and the new board for 2011 new Portfolios have been set for the coming year and are outlined below.

This year's see the addition of 4 new Directors to the International board as Hon P Suen, Sallie Kennedy and Ulf Myrberg were elected on at the AGM in 2010. Following this Michael Kum has stepped down from the board to concentrate on building the Malaysian Chapter, Michael has been replaced by Hans van Herwaarden. Hans was the nomination from the Dutch Chapter at the AGM and was received the next highest number of votes during the election process and has therefore now been co-opted onto the board for the year ahead. David Cannon and Marianna Billington continue onto the second year of their tenure and Alejandro Debenedet was voted back onto the board having been co-opted on half way through 2010.

This year's Portfolios are as follows -

David Cannon - Chairman
David continues in his role as Chairman of the board for 2011 and will take special responsibility for strategy.

Marianna Billington - Vice-Chair & Publications
Marianna continues to manage International's Publication & Translations following a strong year in 2010 and also takes over the role of Vice-Chair, supporting the Chair in the year ahead.

Hans van Herwaarden - Treasurer
Hans takes over the role of Treasurer overseeing the financial management of the organisation, alongside this Hans will manage the contractual partnerships that itSMF International has.

Ulf Myrberg - Qualifications, Certifications, Standards & Communication
Ulf will oversee the Qualifications, Certifications & Standards part of itSMF International's business and will also manage all International Communications.

Sallie Kennedy - Governance, Brand definition & management
Sallie will take on the task of overseeing the implementation of an updated Governance structure for itSMF International. She will also manage the way in which our brand is defined and managed in the market place.

Alejandro Debenedet - Chapter Relations & Marketing
Alejandro will continue to build on the good work over the last 4 months in helping new and existing Chapters to grow and progress and will alongside this manage the way in which itSMF International markets itself.

Hon P Suen - priSM (Professional recognition for IT Service Management)
Hon will take on the role of looking after the Global roll-out of priSM as this begins to expand into EMEA in the first part of the year and then into the Asia Pac region later in 2011.

This is an exciting time for the IT Service Management community and particularly for itSMF globally and around the world. There are a number of exciting initiatives that will have far reaching impact on the itSMF as a movement and on the market place in general.
