itSMF Italy elects new President

The Board of Directors of itSMF Italy on Monday 26 October elected a new President in the person of Alessio Cuppari.

I'm really proud to represent itSMF Italy, an association that has experienced steady growth over time and has managed to attract people who see in IT Service Management an important resource for IT.

I wish to thank on behalf of the entire Board of Directors our outgoing President, Stefano Bellin, who had to leave his post because of his increasing work commitments (we are a 'group of "volunteers").

I also understand the decision of  Sergio Cipri, our Secretary General, not to continue in the postion for next year. Sergio leaves with thanks from the whole Council for the professionalism with which she  undertook the role.

We are thus in a time of change for itSMF Italy, which does not mean losing sight of and indeed wants to pursue with renewed enthusiasm and determination its objective to represent the Italian point of reference for issues of ITSM and dissemination of culture and values.


For example, we are already working on new rules of governance, enabling us to give the Association a more streamlined and more focused on creating value for all members and their integration in different activities.

But we need you all: we open ourselves to dialogue with members (including through our site) and take on board new ideas and to improve or complement the many initiatives already in place such as the territorial sections, the WG and Tutorial.
 We expect many on 19th November in Milan for the itSMF Italy Conference, To which we are working with intensity: the agenda is now final (we can once again count on significant investments) and our renewed Evaluation Commission (which has just opened to members) is analyzing the case studies presented received.
