itSMF Italy Elects New Board & Chairman

Stefano BellinIT Service Management Forum Italy has elected a new Board and Chairman on June, 25th 2008. Mr. Stefano Bellin was chosen to be the new Chairman. He has a wide experience on IT Service Management domain and he holds a position of Service Level Manager in Generali Business Solutions, the IT Service Provider of the well known multi-national insurance group (Assicurazioni Generali) with headquarters in Italy.

Vice President have been nominated: Marco Cipelletti (CEMAT), Francesco Varallo (RAI).

The members of the full Board, each with specific assignments, are: Massimo Arcangeli (Omicron Consulting), Stefano Bellin (Generali Business Solutions), Dario Carmi (Microsoft), Marco Cipelletti (Cemat), Federico Corradi (Cogitek), Alessio Cuppari (RFI), Rosario Fondacaro (Quint Wellington Redwood), Ivan Grumelli (Beta80Group), Chiara Mainolfi (EXIN), Emanuele Matteazzi (DHL Express), Andrea Praitano (Business-E), Claudio Restaino (Bitil), Maxime Sottini (iCONS – Innovative Consulting), Giovanni Vaia (Università di Salerno), Francesco Varallo (RAI).

This year a new ethic board (Probi Viri) has been appointed too. Its members are: Lorenzo Anzola (Mapei), Mauro Musso (Generali Business Solutions), Giuseppe Novello (Fiat).

The Italian chapter continues to grow

During 2007 and first Quarter of 2008 the number of members and other figures have continued to grow:

  • 7 active working group
  • 3 regional sections
  • 18 events organized with sponsors (2007)
  • 2,315 participants to events·

“The new Board will be focused on increasing the number of members and associated company of the demand side, on further improving the quality and participation
to core national events in Milan and Rome, on consolidating and increasing activities of regional sections and working groups and, finally on supporting the spread of ITIL v3 and ISO/IEC 20000” , says Mr. Stefano Bellin. “We will have a lot of work to do but our new Board is highly qualified and committed on IT Service Management”.
