itSMF International engages a new Chief Editor

A new era in ITSMF International's publication strategy begins today with the appointment of Mrs Kirstie Magowan as its new Chief Editor.

As part of the itSMF International's ongoing strategy to further  develop and promote ITSM thought leadership to our members, the Chapters of itSMF world-wide agreed during their Annual General  Meeting, to support and contribute to a new initiative to strengthen and build intellectual capital and thought leadership for the movement.

Part of this initiative involved the recruitment of an industry expert Chief Editor whose role will be to catalyze the strategy and build the supporting structures to make the collaboration and contribution of all Chapters of itSMF possible to the development and publishing of thought leadership.
Kirstie Magowan
After months of competitive recruitment activity, the itSMFI was very pleased when Kirstie accepted the role. Kirstie is a native of New Zealand, a member of the Board of itSMF New Zealand and is no stranger to the editor's role. As a professionally trained and experienced journalist, she has played this role in many industries during the past 25 years and is currently an active member of the itSMF  International Publications Executive Committee (IPESC).

Kirstie will work with IPESC, our publishing partners in the industry and Chapters across the itSMF global network to establish this initiative.

With previous experience editing an international research journal, part of Kirstie's role will be to establish our own Service Management Research Journal and she will be working with industry experts and academia towards this important goal.

We warmly welcome Kirstie into her new position with itSMFI and look forward to her valuable insights and experience to guide our movement further toward our goal of bringing itSMF thought leadership to all itSMF members worldwide.
