itSMF Greece holds its launch Conference

On November 20th 2008, the Greek chapter ITSMF Hellas organized the 1st IT Service Management Conference in Greece.

The conference included a wide range of hot topics on IT Service Management, IT Governance, IT Value Generation and IT-Business Alignment in a total of 13 presentations and a discussion panel.

Over 160 attendees followed the proceedings with extreme interest and a rather active participation giving a surprising vibe to the conference.

Colin Rudd as the keynote speaker with a rather interesting and enjoyable presentation attracted most of the attention and the appreciation of all.

2 international experts Tore Brynaa and Franz Bayer both manage to captivate the audience giving practical information the first for implementing CMDB and the other on processes design and implementation.

The discussion panel was not contained to just positioning statements by the experts, but rather expanded down to the large audience that remained till late and eagerly participated introducing in that way a new communication platform within the Greek IT community.

The positive feedback we received, it is a strong indication of the increasing interest in IT Service Management and a mandate for us to proceed with awareness workshops and of course the early preparation for the 2009 event.
