Call for Speakers
Take this opportunity to share your implementation stories or practical advice with fellow service management practitioners.
itSMF Canada invites presenters to provide current and original content proposals that support thought leadership initiatives and best practices in information technology as well as personal and professional development.
We are seeking presenters who employ interactive learning formats that utilize collaborative learning opportunities. The design and delivery should be appropriate to all attendees. Targeted content may be identified for a specific experience level, and/or a specific sector.
What's in it for you?
Presenters will be provided with a complimentary conference pass. You will share your practical experience and advice with others. You will have the satisfaction of knowing you've helped other organizations advance their ITSM programs. You might even pick up some tips and tricks from other presenters.
About the Conference
The conference will be a two day event held at the Allstream Centre in Toronto, Ontario, May 6 - 7, 2013. This event will bring together over 300 IT Service Management professionals from across Canada and is a unique opportunity to network with clients. Our goal is to provide a forum for relevant up-to-date information about the changing face of IT Service Management.
Our conference program for 2013 will feature three themes:
Refers to the delivery of computing and storage capacity as a service to a heterogeneous community of end-recipients. Cloud computing entrusts services with a user's data, software and computation over a network. Can the cloud be leveraged in IT Service Management? What works, what does not? Do the clouds bring shadows of doubt?
Bring Your Own Device
Describes the recent trend of employees bringing personally-owned mobile devices to their place of work, and using those devices to access privileged company resources such as email, file servers, and databases. Is this a trend to be embraced? How is it best leveraged? Can it be controlled. Should it be? These are just a few of the questions to be answered in this track.
How is social media affecting the delivery of Service Management? Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, BBM, SMS, plus other web technologies are available to radically change how service is delivered. Share your experiences, practices and insights on this topic.

Critical dates for Call for Speakers
1. November 30, 2012: Deadline for submissions for "Call for Speakers".
2. December 14, 2012: Deadline for speaker confirmations and notifications.
Note: Speaker presentations are to be submitted approximately 4 - 6 weeks prior to the conference. All conference presentations and communications will be presented in English. Further details to follow upon speaker confirmation.
