International Qualifications & Certifications ESC (IQC)

The objective of itSMF International is to promote Service Management worldwide, by means of supporting the local itSMF chapters; itSMF International, through its qualifications and certifications activities, will promote a clear and unambiguous information source to support IT Service Management. itSMF International will therefore develop and promote qualifications and certifications that support this global perspective. itSMF International requires a body to monitor, support and enhance Service Management qualification and certification schemes that meet these requirements. Therefore itSMF International will create an International Qualifications and Certification Executive Sub Committee (IQC) that will review the appropriateness and quality of all Service Management qualification and certification schemes, especially those related to ITIL® and ISO/IEC 20000 and make recommendations to the relevant controlling bodies. The principal purpose of the IQaC is to support and influence the development and consistency of any qualifications and certifications within the field of IT Service Management, in particular ITIL® and ISO/IEC 20000 on worldwide basis. Specifically, the IQC provides the focal point for itSMF members to take an active role in monitoring of quality and consistency on an internationally co-coordinated basis.
