50th Chapter Celebration – Artwork Competition winner

Congratulations go to John Wallhoff who is the Treasurer of the itSMF Sweden Chapter, for submitting the winning entry to our competition to find a logo which was symbolic of a real milestone in the development of our movement. That of the 50th Chapter to be approved by itSMF International. His well earned iPod Touch, will be on its way in a few days!

The 50th Chapter Celebration logo may be used on each Chapter's website and any printed literature produced specifically for events during the 50th Chapter celebrations during 2009.

Chapters can obtain a hi-res logo from the itSMF International Secretariat (chapters@itsmfi.org) and its use must be on the understanding that it is for the sole use of an approved Chapter and not to be assigned to any third party. and also provided that its use also adheres to the itSMF approved Brand Guidelines, which is also available via the Secretariat.

John described how he came about the idea for the logo, saying;

"The artwork is a symbolic creation where the flag of each chapter as constituted on 14th December 2008 is represented as a globe. All chapters are represented by the equal size and are spread out on a mirrored surface in a random order".

John is founder and consultant at Scillani Information AB (www.scillani.com) also in Sweden.

His involvement in the IT Service Management community started in 2005 and in 2006 he joined as a board member in the Swedish chapter (www.itsmf.se). As a consultant he is advisor and IT auditor with a broad competence in IT Service Management and with a special focus on governance and security.

John also has a passion for designing 3D pictures and working with software to generate 3D models, for the simple reason that world is more than 2 dimensional.

He often uses pictures, illustrations and models in his work and he feels that using the third dimension makes it easier to explain things when models become too complex. Last but not least, the pictures he creates can also be very beautiful. If you are interested in seeing John's other work, he can be reached at;
