The 2012 itSMF Swedish Conference is taking place on March 20th and 21st in Stockholm with the theme "The Sixth Sense - A step into the future". The conference focuses on future requirements and opportunities for IT Service Management with a global focus and several international speakers.

You are welcome to attend as a delegate and we have also opportunities for sponsors to meet the Swedish ITSM market.

The 2011 itSMF Germany Conference - "Future of ITSM" is taking place on 5th and 6th of December in Kassel. A broad mix of professionals present on future developments of and requirements service management has to deal with.

Topics like BYOD (Bring Your Own Device), Mobile Device Management, IT Sourcing, Web2.0 technologies in ITSM as well as ITSM core issues like Relationship Management at the Service Desk, Implementing and Operating ITIL Processes will be analyzed and discussed in detail.

The it Service Management Forum Ireland (itSMF.ie) recently hosted the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) 2011 Edition road show for both members and non-members of the chapter.

The ITIL 2011 edition is the first significant update to the Lifecycle Suite since 2007, published in July of this year. For service managers who rely heavily on ITIL guidance in their day-to-day work, and for those involved in ITIL education and consultancy, it is essential to understand what has changed and why, and what the revisions mean for the ITIL community.

The ITIL 2011 Edition road show brings together authors and mentors from the recent ITIL Update project to explain what the ITIL 2011 Edition means for service management practitioners, managers and advisors. Speaking at the event were Colin Rudd and Stuart Rance, key contributors in the new edition.

While the underlying ITIL guidance and principles remain unaltered, various processes and concepts have been introduced or revised to help clarify and strengthen the ITIL message and reinforce its unique position within IT service management.

itSMF Belgium wishes to explore the improvement potential for present and future service management activities. Our 2012 annual conference aims to be the scene for a call towards the ITSM community to leave behind operational enigma's and to "live the business".
